Foundation 1023 recognizes the mental and emotional wellness, healing and clarity that is generated by being on the water and in the outdoors, and the empowerment of camaraderie with amazing volunteers serving and supporting the cause. All funds are raised by the PaddleJam, benefit Foundation1023 to provide mental wellness counseling and support for first responders and their family members.
PaddleJam’s are an integral part of the Foundation 1023 history and growth with our first Paddle being held in Frisco CO in 2016. The Heart of Texas PaddleJam will be our 5th paddle and one we intend to find an annual home at Richland Chambers! We invite paddlers of all vessels (SUP, Kayak, or Canoe) to paddle distances of up to 10.23 miles. Paddlers can launch their own vessels or boards at the launch point or rent SUP or kayaks as part of registration (limited availability). Following the event, hang out and enjoy an awesome lunch, presentation for top fund raising individual and teams, enjoying music, and bevi’s with family and friends. In 2016, 100 paddlers raised over $30,000 for the cause. For 2024, we are setting our goal at $40,000
PaddleJam benefits our parent organization Foundation 1023, a 501-c-3 nonprofit.
