Why support this? One student shares, "Cross country has taught me things about myself and life lessons that are invaluable. It has taught me that I don’t have to be the fastest to feel successful because the goal is to improve, therefore, I am racing against myself every meet. It has taught me that watching my teammates beat their PRs (personal records) is just as rewarding and inspiring as when I crush my own. It has taught me that I can do hard things, it has taught me that pain is temporary, it has taught me the real meaning of grit, and it has taught me sisterhood.
