Bivian “Sonny” Lee III founded Son of a Saint in 2011. The organization is a 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to mentorship and transforming the lives of fatherless boys throughout Greater New Orleans. Son of a Saint accepts young men who have reached the age of 10-12 during the application cycle or at the time of joining the organization but the mentees remain in the program until they are 21 and the connection continues. Mentees enrolled in Son of a Saint have unfortunately lost their fathers due to death, long-term incarceration (15 years or more remaining), adoption by a single mother, willful neglect, or deportation of their fathers.

Son of a Saint provides mentorship, mental health counseling, recreation, nutrition, career and academic support as well as a multitude of additional services to ensure that mentees reach their greatest potential. To learn more or get involved, visit sonofasaint.org
