The Memorial 5K is the primary fund raiser for the Memorial 5K Foundation. The Foundation supports the activities of the Veterans of Lake Barrington Shores as well as a rotating charity that supports families of our fallen heroes. This year's charity is the Gary Sinise Foundation.

Veterans of Lake Barrington Shores
The Veterans of Lake Barrington Shores is a licensed 501(c)19 charitable organization. The mission of the Veterans of Lake Barrington Shores is to foster patriotism, love of our nation’s flag, and to promote appreciation of our county, U.S. veterans, their spouses, and children.
The Vets of LBS participate in numerous local initiatives, including elementary school programs, providing color guard services for various local events, and by supporting the efforts of veterans in need.

The Gary Sinise Foundation serves our nation by honoring our defenders, veterans, first responders, their families, and those in need. The Gary Sinise Foundation does this by creating and supporting unique programs designed to entertain, educate, inspire, strengthen, and build communities.
