UPDATE - 9/12/2024
I'm floored by the generosity of my community... You all quickly helped me reach my $1000 goal. I'm humbled by everyone's support of me and this important work, bringing outdoor learning experiences to underserved youth around the world. If we accomplished so much in such a short amount of time, I know we can accomplish so much more. I have made the decision to increase my goal to $2,500.
It's ambitious, but it could mean more leaders being accepted into our inaugural fellowship program
It could mean more boats or bikes for one of our affiliate sites, meaning that they get to serve more kids in their local communities.
It could mean the difference of another expedition for kids craving to see what the world has to offer them.
Every dollar has the power to ignite untapped passions in youth around the world. Let's see how much more we can accomplish together!

On Saturday September 28th, 2024, I will be paddling for +2 hours in a 10-person boat to help launch outdoor learning programs around the world. I ask that you please consider making a donation to help me reach my $1,000 fundraising goal for the event.
When I first learned about UrbanPromise, the UrbanTrekkers program blew me away. Never before I had seen anything remotely like the innovative work that they accomplish providing outdoor experiential and expeditionary learning experiences to urban youth.
As someone who loves the beauty and healing power of nature, my heartstrings were tugged. Shortly after I applied for a job, and for 3 months now I've had the privilege to help facilitate UP's international missions work.
For more than 20 years, the UrbanTrekkers Experiential & Expeditionary Learning program has been a powerful and effective way to teach young people in Camden about the environment, history, leadership development, and stewardship of God's creation. I got to witness the UrbanTrekkers program firsthand this summer when I joined a group of local high schoolers working in our summer camps for a tour of the Cooper River, which was led by a separate team of our high school River Guides (see my profile picture!).
Now, UrbanPromise International (UPI) plans to replicate the Trekkers program for our global affiliates by establishing a fellowship program to train leaders from UrbanPromise sites around the world.
I'm paddling in support of this initiative on Sept 28 and ask that you partner with me to help me reach my fundraising goal. Thank you!
