Join us on or in the water as the Ocean Positive Foundation shares their Blue Journey Unified inclusive surf lifesaving sports program with the Sunshine Coast communities in two special events: An introductory pool session at USC and an open water paddling session and community open house at Cotton Tree.

- Who - Athletes with spinal cord injuries and similar movement disorders, their family, friends and supporters
- Who - Volunteers with a desire to share some water experiences and empower others. Volunteers will only be asked to work within their own comfort zone. Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Leisure Therapists, Student, Surf Life Saving Club Members, Surfers, Swimmers and LIfeguards are encouraged to lend their skill and knowledge to these sessions
- What - Pool session to introduce the basics of prone paddling and water confidence for those with spinal cord injuries or disorders

The Blue Journey Unified (BJU) program brings together communities of people with and without Spinal Cord Injuries and Disease (SCI/D) for open-water recreation, fitness, and competition through the removal of physical and social barriers to provide a sustainable impact on quality of life and community enrichment. The US based program provides weekly outdoor, open water training sessions in the disciplines of prone paddleboarding, surfskiing and open water swimming from April through September and weekly pool sessions throughout the year. The program also coordinates additional one on one training sessions for athletes with SCI/D who are involved in competition. The Bruckner Chase Ocean Positive Foundation is working with multiple partners in Queensland to inform, promote and enhance the development of Australian based inclusive surf Life Saving sports providing equal opportunities in ocean and open water activities for all Australians. Program partners include: Surf Life Saving Queensland, University of the Sunshine Coast, Princess Alexandra Hospital, Bacharach Rehabilitation Hospital (USA)
