International Lifeguard Competition

*$55 entry fee entitles entrant to participate in all International Lifeguard Competition events on Saturday July 20 and includes SCOF tee.

*Points and premiums (SCOF beach towels) awarded in each race. Prize money $ to top (5) five individual scorers men & women.

*Open divisions only. Rules and courses posted at event site. Lifeguard specs. on race craft.

930am Surf Rescue Relay (2 person, rescue swimmer uses fins)
10:15am Surf Ski Race (USLA Lifeguard spec.)
10:45am NDA Dory Race #1 (three laps)
11:30am International Ironman (surf ski, paddleboard, swim)
12:30pm Paddleboard Rescue Race (2 person, 10'6" paddleboards only)
1:30pm NDA Dory Race #2 (three laps)
2:30pm Paddleboard Sprint Race (10'6" paddleboards only)
3:30pm Taplin Relay (3 person - swim, surf ski, paddleboard)

Jr. Lifeguard Competition

*$30 entry fee entitles entrant to participate in all Junior Lifeguard Competition events on Saturday July 20 and includes SCOF tee.

*Boys & girls: ages (12 & under) & (13-17)

*Points awarded in each race. Special SCOF trophy to individual scorers boys & girls (12& under) & (13-17).

*Special SCOF medals to 1st-3rd in each event.

*10'6" & under paddleboards only - Race board are not provided by event or SC Marine Safety - bring your raceboard.

9:00am 1/2 mile (ages 4-6)
9:20am 3/4 mile (ages 7-9)

Saturday July 20: Grom's Rule "Push-in" Surf Contest

*Age divisions: boys & girls combined (7 & under)

*Parent can "push" entrant surfer into waves

Special SCOF Medals to top six finishers.

Ocean Swims, Paddling, Runs - Beach Events

*$55 entry fee entitles entrant to participate in all Ocean Swims, Paddling and Run events on Sunday July 21 and includes SCOF tee.

*SCOF medals awarded to top three (3) finishers in each age-group and craft category (paddling events).

8:00am 5K Beach Run
9:00am Open Ocean Paddle (approx. 5.5 miles - SUP, prone, surf ski)
9:15am Biathlon (1k swim, 5k run)
11:30am One Mile Ocean Swim
2:15pm Run-Swim-Run (approx. 200 yard run, 300 yard swim, 200 yard run)
3:00pm SUP Surf Sprint (approx. 800 yards - 14' & under)
3:30pm Splash & Dash Relay (2 person - runner 100 yards, swimmer 200 yards)

Sunday July 21: Grom's Rule Surf Contest

*Age divisions:
- Boys (10 & under) and Girls (10 & under)
- Boys & Girls combined (11-14)

Special SCOF medals awarded 1st - 6th in each Grom's Rule Surf Contest division.

Bodysurfing Invitational

*$40 entry fee entitles entrant to participate in the SCOF Bodysurfing Invitational on Sunday July 21 and includes SCOF tee.


-Open division only (men, women, Jr. together)
-15 minute heats
-Heat advancement to final.
-Scoring based on wave selection, take-off, maneuvers, riding style etc.
-Entrants can wear fins

1st Round: 11:00am
Semis: 12:30pm
Finals: 1:45pm

*Special SCOF medals to 1st - 6th overall.

5K Beach Run

*Course is run on sand along waters edge.

*Race start: 8:00am

*Special SCOF medals 1st-3rd in each age-group division
