WELCOME TO
THE RACE FOR OUR LIVES!

This race was first brought to fruition after the tragic and abrupt loss of life of Kelly Pierce Peterson due to an overdose. Kelly had spent over 20 years as a registered nurse loving and taking care of others, she was a nurturing soul and would always put others ahead of herself. She had a love of nature, the river, camping, and walking, but what she cherished the most was every moment she spent with her family at the beach since she was a little girl. There was nothing more important in her life than her children. They were her pride and joy, a love that could never be matched. She was a very devoted mother to her children and loved her family deeply. She was the best Daughter, Sister, Aunt, and Friend a person could ask for!
“I thank my God upon every remembrance of you.” Philippians 1:3 KJV
Did you know that Naloxone (Narcan- generic name) is a life-saving medication that can reverse an overdose from opioids – including heroin, fentanyl, and prescription opioid medication – when given in-time? In 2023, Naloxone was administered 51,752 times in the state of Florida!
This medication is a critical tool for reversing opioid overdoses and saving lives!
Awareness and education plays a crucial role in addressing the ongoing opioid crisis and promoting public health and safety !
