Thanksgiving Day Gobble Wobble 5K, 10K & Fun Run

Join us for our 9th Annual Gobble Wobble event on Thanksgiving Day (Thursday, November 28, 2024)!

10K and 5K participants will receive a crewneck sweatshirt and custom finisher medal. Kids Fun Run participants will receive a crewneck sweatshirt and a fun run medal.

The starting line is at the surface parking lot behind Cherry Street Brewpub.

Free parking is available in the parking garage at Halcyon adjacent to the Village Green behind the CMX CineBistro.  Participants are advised to carpool to this event.

Race Start Times

10K Walk/Run:  7:45 AM

5K Walk/Run:  8:00 AM **

Kids Fun Run (10 & Under):  9:15 AM

**5K runners will be staggered from fastest at the front to slower runners and walkers towards the back. Runners will be sent out in waves at two-minute intervals. Starting Corrals will be pre-assigned, and your assigned Corral will be indicated on your race bib. The starting area will be sectioned off with signs to direct runners to their assigned Corral. Announcements will be made before the start of the 5K directing participants as to how they should line up. When lining up for this event, please position yourself in your assigned Corral as indicated on your race bib (Corral A, Corral B, Corral C, etc.). 

If you are running with a friend or family member assigned to a different Corral, you are welcome to start together in the later wave. Please don't move to an earlier Corral. Those with strollers should line up at the back of their assigned Corral. Chipped timing bibs will be used for this event.

Your official race time DOES NOT start until you cross the starting line. 

Registration

• Online registration will be available (if not sold out) through race morning. 
• If an event is not listed as "Sold Out", registrants will receive a finisher medal and race shirt.
• For all events, if your desired shirt size is available from the drop-down menu during race registration, you will receive that size shirt at packet pickup. If a shirt size is listed as "Sold Out" please select an alternative size as your desired shirt is unavailable. 
• On-site race day registration (if not sold out) will be available from 7:15 AM until 15 minutes before the race start time. Please be prepared to log in to your RunSignUp account to register on-site on Race Day. Registration fees can be paid via credit card (No checks). 
• Register early to take advantage of discounts and guarantee your shirt and finisher medal!

• Monday, November 25th from 12 PM to 6 PM
• Tuesday, November 26th from 11 AM to 6 PM
• Wednesday, November 27th from 11 AM to 4 PM

At the Race Location under the Big Peach tent

• Race morning from 7:15 AM until 10 minutes before the event start time
   

Packets for Virtual Participants not picked up in-store will be mailed after November 30th

Please note that we will not be exchanging t-shirt sizes at packet pickup. If we have extras after the race, you may go to the packet pickup tent following the race to see if your size is available for exchange. 

Packets for in-person participants not picked up during packet pickup will be donated. 

Restrooms

• Full-service restrooms are located inside The Market Hall adjacent to the coffee shop near the start/finish line.
• Portable toilets will be adjacent to the Big Creek Greenway Halcyon Trailhead facility (6265 Cortland Walk, Alpharetta, GA 30005 - across Ronald Reagan Blvd from the Halcyon). This is approximately a 4-minute walk to/from the starting line.

Awards

• Overall male/female
• Overall masters male/female 
• 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place age group awards in 5-year increments for both the 5K & 10K events

***PLEASE NOTE THAT WE WILL NOT HAVE AN AWARD CEREMONY ON SITE POST GOBBLE WOBBLE. Overall and Age Group Awards will be at Big Peach Running Co. - Cumming beginning Friday, November 29th. If you are from out of town, please let us know via email (northgarunningco@gmail.com) and we can mail your award.
