Kacie’s Run 2025: A Change in Course, Same Strong Spirit
Dear Kacie’s Run Participants, Supporters, and CFBISD Family,
With heavy hearts and deep consideration, we have made the decision to transition this year’s Kacie’s Run to a virtual event due to the current and forecasted weather conditions. After monitoring the course closely, it has become clear that the safety of our students, participants, volunteers, and families could be at risk due to unsafe terrain and potential hazards.
The decision to shift to a virtual format was not made lightly. Trusted advisors, weather and track experts were advised to helped us make this difficult decision. However, the well-being of everyone involved is always our utmost priority. We are committed to honoring the spirit of Kacie’s Run and celebrating our incredible CFBISD All Stars in a way that ensures safety while still bringing our community together in purpose and heart.
We will be sharing details very soon on how you can participate in our virtual run, and how those who were not able to pick up their event shirts this week can still do so. Your support means the world to us, and we want to make sure every runner, walker, and cheerleader feels connected and appreciated—no matter the format.
From all of us in CFBISD and the Family of Kacie Brekhus, thank you for continuing to support this event and the extraordinary students it uplifts. Your kindness, flexibility, and enthusiasm are what keep Kacie’s legacy thriving year after year.

Parking
We have plenty of parking available at Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD's Tommy Standridge Stadium, located at 1330 W. Valwood Parkway, Carrollton, TX 75006. The stadium is situated 1/2 mile west of Interstate 35 North at the corner of Valwood Parkway and Hutton. This year, due to the City of Carrollton Health and Wellness Fair taking place in the Home Side parking lot, all general event parking for Kacie's Run and the Health and Wellness Fair will be in the Visitor Side parking lot, with entry from W. Valwood Parkway. Limited accessibility parking will be available and permitted for entry near the event area for those with mobility needs.
Packet Pick-Up
Tuesday and Wednesday, April 1 and 2, 2025 at Marie Huie Special Education Center, 1820 Pearl Street Building C, Carrollton, TX 75006.
Registration received after Friday, March 14, 2025 is not guaranteed an event t-shirt. Other race materials including race bib will be available on Race Day for participants registering during race week.
Awards

Your timing device will be integrated into you race bib
You must wear your bib to be timed and eligible for awards.
