What is the Philly Mayor's Cup?
The Philly Mayor's Cup is a celebration of the Philadelphia running community, featuring historic West Fairmount Park. This one is only about the team: all runners compete for their chosen local running club and there are no individual winners.
One day, dozens of clubs, five races: 5K, 5 Mile, 10K, 10 Mile, and a Half Marathon.
May the fastest team win!
*The team that has the most fun also wins. So does the one that raises the most for charity.
How Does Scoring Work?
How does a team win? Does it hurt my team if I join and run slowly? The answers to all your burning scoring questions can be found at the link below.
*No, you can't hurt your team by being slow. You'll either help your team, or your score won't count towards the final total (but your presence will still help).
Have a Club?
We are now signing up teams for our 2024 event! The requirements for a club to participate include: the club must meet primarily within the Philadelphia City Limits, the club must be have a primary purpose of running, and the club must exist for reasons beyond participation in the Philly Mayor's Cup.
If your club meets the criteria, submit our club application and we'll connect with you to get you all the information you need to participate!
